CATHEDRAL ROCKS: THE EXPERIENCE
As told by Jackie Te-Aroha
Cathedral rocks is a unique formation that located between Shellharbour and Kiama. You can view the rocks from the pathway along the top of Cliff Drive and take the trail down to the small inlet.
You can also access them via the south end of Jones Beach. There’s a large cave located on the south end if you follow the rocks around which is the preferred spot for keen photogs during sunrise. If you want prime photography location arrive pre-first light!
If it’s a warm day bring a towel and enjoy the beach. The Southern part has a few rocks along the shore but is doggo friendly whilst the northern part is for humans only. The surf is a little rough though, so if your not a strong swimmer we would advise you try somewhere like Minnamurra (which we absolutely love) or Kiama.
